I am dealing with some text files that generally have less than 2000 lines,  each line  having 40 comma delimited numerical fields,  except the last line which has a single character.  These files are generated by another party and I have to accept the format.  I need to read them into an array,  and I have figured a way to do this in VB 5.   My question is,  is there a simpler way to do it: The exact number of lines in the file were determined by opening the file with line input,  iterating through and adding up the number of lines.   Then closing the file and reopening it.  Then
