photoshop plugin modifying a partition table
Hello, does anybody know how to modify a partition table so that not all partitions automatically mount (or try to) at startup? MacOS asks me at each and every startup if I want to format the partitions it does not recognize, i.e. my ext2 partitions. This is really annoying and since it does not mount its disk-drivers partitions, I suppose there must be an auto-mount toggle in the partition table. Any suggestion on existing tools or the way to write a new one? uncle seb. Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/

Hello, Can anyone tell me how to do something simple within a Photoshop plugin? I would like to draw a 'PICT' resource onto a _layer_ in Photoshop from a plugin. Is there an easy way to do this? The problem I am having is figuring out how to SetPort to the _layer_. I understand how to do this from a std. Mac program, but not a Photoshop plugin. Thanks, E. Tejkowski

Photoshop does not pass its data to you in the form of a GrafPort. It uses raw RGB (or CMYK, or whatever colorspace your in) data as described in the Photoshop docs. Your best bet is probably to create a GWorld that's the same size as the picture you wish to draw, and do a DrawPicture into that. Then get a (locked) pointer to the pixels in your GWorld and hand copy them to the output buffer that Photoshop gave you. Darrin

I wonder how this thread wandered over to a discussion of photoshop... Anyway, as for the mounting problem, things I can think of (but I don't know if would work) would be open firmware programming or a system patch to MountVolume. Jim
